  Discription: SPAD Fest 2012 Announced!
Details: June 8-9th
The Newton Skykings are very proud to have been selected as the host site of the 2012 world famous SPADFEST. We are hoping to have great event and to provide a location to match.

SPADFEST
What is this you might ask? SPADFEST is a traveling flying event that has been held at many different sites over the years. At this event people build and fly creations made from Coroplast, foam or whatever material they can engineer into a plane! These planes are often self-designed or modeled from full size planes from the past and present. These pilots bring their pride and joy to participate in fun flying, contests, or simply to reminisce about previous events, great contest wins, last year’s greatest crash, the fastest plane, or just how everyone is doing and how darn glad they are to see each other again. New faces are always welcome and this will become a must do event that will make your calendar ever year.

  Discription: 4th of July Fun Fly Exhibition
Details:
The Sky Kings will be holding our annual Independence Day Fun Fly event on Mon, July 4th, 2011 from 10am thru 6pm. Festivities will begin after the completion of the parade in Newton. Please come out and enjoy an action-packed day of exhibition flying that's sure to be fun for all. Bring Lawn Chairs.
We are located 2 miles south of Newton on Hwy 14.

Discription: Clubhouse Remodel Complete
Following the flooding last fall, the interior remodel of the clubhouse has now been completed. Thanks to John M, Jim L, Eli L, and Ben V for all of the hard work and dedication. Thanks to John B for donating the fridge.

Discription: Recent Flood Damage
Details: The recent flooding of August 2010 caused some damage to our field and clubhouse. Thanks to all of those who were involved in the cleanup effort. The clubhouse has been gutted and dried out. There will be some remodelling done in the near future once planning has been completed.
If anyone has a Refridgerator that could be donated to the club, please let us know by email or at the meeting.
